Andrew McLean is a passionate craft beer drinker who was fortunate enough to come to drinking age in an amazing craft beer town like Kalamazoo. A few visits to Bell’s later, and there was no looking back. While staying involved as a freelance writer for Michigan Beer Guide and mittenbrew.com, he had the opportunity to attended a variety of events across Michigan, talking to everyone from seasoned brewmasters to those brand new drinkers of craft beer, and everyone in between. An individual who feels most comfortable surrounded by energetic people, Andrew loves travelling Michigan and Indiana canning some of the best hand-crafted beer and cider available today.
Scott Richards is a veteran of the beer industry, serving his first hopped beverage at Michigan International Speedway near his hometown of Horton, and progressing to bartending in Mt. Pleasant and Mackinac Island. He then moved west for a six-year stint in the then-rapidly expanding craft brew environs of Colorado, where he managed bars in Vail. His return to Michigan was, admittedly, wine-motivated, as he furthered his knowledge of the grape at several Northern Michigan restaurants, before starting his own deli and pizzeria. Ultimately, food alone could not hold his interest, and he moved on to restaurant management and finally to beer and wine sales throughout seven Northern Michigan counties. His mission across all these settings has been to put the best beer and wine possible into the glass of his customers. When a local brewmaster brought Mobile Canning Systems to his attention, he saw the next stage of the journey to get great craft beer to the masses unfolding.
